Auxiliary Anomalies is a keys-driven groove, utilizing only acoustic sources and instruments rather than anything MIDI or virtual. The first of three summer releases, I wanted to challenge myself to only use the computer to capture and really soak in the essence of the space, a beautiful treehouse studio in the woods, located west of Nashville, Tennessee. While paying homage to the arrangement of traditional funk music, such as B3 organ, vintage synthesizers, saxophone and piano, I wanted to incorporate modern production elements to add my own special flavor on a genre I love. Enjoy and who knows, if it does better than my other stuff so far I may do more!
“Falling Right Back”
My most recent release on June 26th, 2021. I was going for the soundtrack of the summer, with warm analog synths, colorful lyrics, and rhythm you can bounce to. I initially wrote this song about someone I was close to for one summer until they had to move back home. My good friend Justus Johnson stepped in to help me out with the vocal performance, and he’s one of the best vocalists I’ve ever met in my lifetime. This is one of the most commercial songs I’ve made, so help me out to try and blow this up 🙂 listen here or click on the image above to stream on Spotify.
“With You”
I sought out to mirror the mental picture of drifting through the mountains in a sedated mental state. “With You” represents ethereal mountain meditative vibes, while still including traditional electronic elements that keep the track exciting. Though this is my latest project, I’m more excited than ever to continue working on new projects to release ASAP : )
